Submit questions for Beltway Baseball

Aug 18, 2012, 7:00 PM EDT

Chase Hughes and I will be taping a new episode of Beltway Baseball before tomorrow’s series finale against the Mets, and as always we need your help.

If you’ve got a question about the Nats you’d like us to answer on-air, please submit it here. We’ll pick the best ones for the show, then look for the full episode to be posted Monday morning.

Who do you see as September Callups? How is the clubhouse reacting to being in a pennant race? How are they handling all the attention (even though it is focused on only 1 player)?

What do you make of the Melky Cabrera revelation, and Victor Conte's claim that up to half of all ML baseball players are using PEDs?

I'm sure Suzuki adds some experience to the C postion, by why does Davey think that he rates more #1 status than JFlo. I haven't seen any game performance on either Defense or Offence, on Suzuki's part, that would seem to justify Davey's decision.

Are they going to save the last slot (right now they have 39) on the 40-man roster for Christian Garcia? Or is it being saved for the possibility of Cesar Iszturis clearing?

Do you think there's any chance – and if so, what % – that Rizzo & Johnson find a way to make Strasburg available for the playoffs? Thanks!

Are you going to interview Rob Dibble and ask him if he is angry at Mike Rizzo and the Lerner's for firing him?

What has been Davey's philosophy in the past with respect to playing time and rest IF they were to clinch the division early? Keep the guys on a routine and in rhythm or rest 'em up. This is especially applicable to pitchers.

Will Rendon be called up in September before he goes to the AFL?

What will the rotation be for the next few weeks? Then after the shutdown? JZ, Gio, SS, Det and EJax? Seems like there has been some shuffling going on to mix up the lefts and rights.

Sorry to ask a few more strasburg questions, I am sure you are sick of these, but can you look into the pythagorean projections with and without strasburg? Forgetting about the Tommy john surgery, how much endurance would a typical young pitcher have going into the playoffs? Any idea what riggleman would have done in this situation. And non-strasburg question…how likely is davey to stay on for next season?
