Ryan Zimmerman joined Brian Mitchell on CSN’s SportsTalk Live for a one-on-one interview this week, discussing a variety of topics as the Nationals move through spring training. Zimmerman talked about spending time at first base this season, his first impressions of manager Matt Williams, as well as who pulls the best pranks on the Nats.

Zimmerman wouldn’t give any names for the last one. He says it’s simply hard to choose who is the best.

“Literally everyone picks on everyone. Nobody is safe,” he said.

I’m very pleased that Ryan isn’t making a fuss about getting some first base time in. Do what’s best for the team.

It’s a little easier for Zimm to take it, because he is locked up long-term. If he was a free agent next year, his agent might be bugging th Nats…

I have a feeling that Zimm is going to have a monster year (28HR+ and 100 RBI’s)

I’ve never seen the guy before, but Brian Mitchell has a great interview style. First a quick, short statement, then “tell me about…” Nice.
